During a ground-breaking ceremony, Redmond Regional Medical Center announced a joint-venture with SmartCare Medical Group to bring two urgent care locations to Rome. The first urgent care will open late 2018 and will be located at 609 Shorter Avenue, at the intersection of Division Street. The second urgent care will open early 2019 and will be located at 1810 Turner McCall Blvd next to Zaxby's. Both locations accept most insurance, offer affordable self-pay rates, and will be open seven days a week, 363 days a year. Hours of care will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends. This represents the hospital's first steps in its efforts to add more points of access to patients throughout Floyd County and surrounding areas. "We are excited to announce this expansion of Redmond's network of healthcare services," said John Quinlivan, Chief Executive Officer at Redmond Regional Medical Center. "For over 46 years, Redmond has been known as a regional leader in high-quality, compassionate care. We look forward to serving our neighbors with the same level of care they know and trust, right where they live and work."
