Wednesday, March 17th, Redmond Regional Medical Center partnered with the Polk County government to host the community’s first COVID-19 vaccine clinic. Redmond EMS successfully administered 100 first-dose Pfizer vaccines at this Rockmart clinic.

Redmond EMS Director Marty Robinson led the effort to organize this vaccine clinic for the community. “We’ve been running weekly vaccine clinics at the hospital, and luckily we were able to come out and do a community clinic. That’s the biggest way that we’re trying to contribute, just to get the vaccine in as many arms as we can,” Robinson said. “And we believe in it. We’ve had a huge population of our own healthcare workers who have taken it, so it’s a good thing.”
