Redmond Regional Medical Center recently donated seven automated external defibrilators (AEDs) to the Floyd County Government. The AEDs will be used in a variety of public-use locations around the County. Redmond Occupational Health Director Lisa Adrian made the presentation to County Manager Jamie McCord, Assistant County Manager Gary Burkhalter, and Wellness Coordinator Sandi McCollum. Redmond Occupational Health also manages the Rome Floyd Wellness Center, an employee Wellness Center for use by City and County employees. In July of 2017, the Floyd County Government announced they selected Redmond for the contract to operate a wellness center for County employees. In commenting on the AED donation to the County, Adrian noted "As Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama's most technologically advanced, complete cardiovascular center, Redmond is honored to assist in the community."
