Redmond Regional Medical Center is once again co-sponsoring the Rome Community HeART Project with the Rome Area Council for the Arts (RACA).
The purpose of the Rome Community HeART Project is to bring public art to Downtown Rome with a message of heart health awareness. In this its 6th year, the Project is getting a new look.
Local artists have created original artwork on 20"x24" canvases conveying the theme of heart health in a variety of ways. Those original pieces have been photographed by local photographer Kelly Moore, and enlarged to hang on the side of the 3rd Avenue parking deck, overlooking Town Green and the Forum River Center.
On Monday January 28th, the installation of those pieces began. The artwork will be on display throughout the month of February in honor of Heart Month.
In addition to the display at Town Green, the original pieces will also be displayed throughout the month at the DeSoto Theater on Broad Street.
