During the 2019 Northwest Georgia Cardiovascular Summit presented by Redmond, the Wood family shared their son's amazing story. The Woods attended the Summit in order to publicly recognize and thank the first responders and members of Redmond's emergency and cardiac teams for saving their son's life.
Ross Wood was born with Shone's Syndrome, a rare congenital heart disease. In January, Ross' heart stopped. His girlfriend immediately called 911 and Redmond EMS was dispatched. Thanks to Redmond's EMS, Emergency Room, and Cardiac Teams, 22 year-old Ross Wood survived.
