AirLife 15, now based at Redmond's new helipad, serves Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama. Redmond recently built the new helipad and in-house flight crew quarters in order to support a helicopter and crew on the hospital campus, for rapid response to medical emergencies throughout the region. Marcus Lindsey, Regional Business Development Manager for Air Methods/Air Life, recently met with Floyd County Commissioners to explain the mission of AirLife 15 to serve all citizens of the region, transporting patients in need to the closest appropriate hospital. Additionally, Lindsey shared the economic benefit of AirLife 15 to Floyd County in annual fuel purchases from Richard B. Russell airport.
