Rome, GA — Redmond Regional Medical Center’s Outpatient Wound and Hyperbarics Center has received two prestigious quality awards from Healogics, Inc., the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. For the second year in a row, Redmond has received the Center of Distinction Award. To receive the award, Redmond’s Wound and Hyperbarics Center exceeded the rigorous minimum quality standards. Redmond achieved a patient satisfaction rate of 96% and a healing rate of 99% with an average days to heal of 19 among other quality standards.
Redmond’s Wound and Hyperbarics Center also received the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence award. The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics. To receive this award, a center must be open for a minimum of two years as well as meet the rigorous quality outcomes established for the Center of Distinction award. This award is an even more exceptional achievement for Redmond considering that the Outpatient Wound and Hyperbarics Center has only been open just over two and a half years.
John Quinlivan, Redmond CEO commented on the awards, “I am proud of Dr. Rhodes and his team at the Redmond Wound and Hyperbarics Center but I am not surprised they are being recognized. They are absolutely outstanding and have healed wounds others though untreatable. It is rewarding for me, and even more so for Dr. Rhodes and his team, to see these long-suffering patients return to a normal life.”
“We’re honored,” said Dr. Leeon Rhodes, Medical Director and full time physician for Redmond’s Wound and Hyperbarics Center. “It’s a privilege to be part of a great collaborative effort between Healogics and Redmond Wound and Hyperbarics Clinic. Together, we are able to heal patients in our community, getting them back to living happy, healthy lives.”
