  • Redmond Regional Announces Pamela Merriweather as Environmental Services Director

Rome, GA; Redmond Regional Medical Center is proud to announce Pamela Merriweather has been named director of environmental services. In her new role, Merriweather will supervise the environmental services department including managing, developing and training environmental services employees. It also includes managing processes to create a positive impact on patient satisfaction and insuring the department is in compliance with all hospital operational programs.

Merriweather is a new comer to Redmond but has worked in healthcare for 26 years. Merriweather has held many positions healthcare including nursing assistant, unit secretary, environmental services department manager, environmental services department director and environmental services department operations manager.

Merriweather obtained an Associates of Applied Science Degree from Davenport University and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Management.

“I enjoy making a difference in the ministry of healthcare. I also enjoy working with my staff, creating a culture that conforms to the expectations of our organization and ultimately providing a welcoming, clean and safe environment for the patients we serve,” says Merriweather about her new role.

Outside of work, Merriweather enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, cooking, traveling and fishing.

Merriweather and her two children, William Dean and Brandy Star Merriweather, reside in Rome, Georgia.
